This program is for women who…
• Have 20–30+ years of professional experience
• Know they have valuable expertise to offer
• Are curious about advisory, consulting, or portfolio careers
• Want to work independently — but without building a complicated business
• Have reached a point where they value clarity, autonomy and meaningful work
You may already have an idea for a business.
Or you may simply have a strong sense that your experience deserves a different stage.
The reality about expertise-based businesses
Many people try to build consulting businesses the way startups do.
Complex funnels. Endless social media. Expensive automation tools.
While there is value in start-up mindset, expertise-based businesses grow differently.
They succeed when three things are clear:
• the problems you solve
• the clients you serve
• the path from reputation to revenue
The 3rd Act Business Lab focuses on exactly those foundations.
Clarity
Translating your experience into a clear niche and value proposition.
Offer design & MVP
Creating a simple advisory service or product and sell before you build.
Lead generation
The non-cringe way to generate businesss
Advisory conversations
Selling through insight and credibility rather than persuasion.
Business foundations
The minimum infrastructure needed to run a credible advisory practice.
Sustainable growth

9 weeks of business building at pace!
1. Design your 3rd Act
What kind of business do you actually want?
We explore the pros and cons of product vs service models, how advisory and coaching businesses generate income, and how to identify the “cash cow” in your expertise.
2. Follow the money
This session focuses on financial and operational realities.
We explore revenue models, cashflow basics, and the simple systems needed to run a credible, sustainable advisory or coaching practice.

3. Breathe
Stop. Take a breath. Let the new ideas settle. Share. Bounce. Absorb.

4. Solve the right problem
Clients do not buy experience.
They buy solutions.
This session focuses on identifying the problems you are uniquely placed to solve and shaping those into a clear advisory offer.
5. Keep it lean
You don’t need a large team or expensive systems.
This session explores the minimum viable infrastructure for an advisory business, including automation, AI tools, and how virtual assistants can extend your capacity.

6. Pause
Time to consolidate. Take stock. Exhale. Build energy for the finish.
7. Get visible
Visibility is the engine of expertise businesses.
We explore how to design a simple 12-month visibility and marketing plan, why owning your list matters, and how reputation builds opportunity.
8. Ask for the work
Many advisory businesses stall at this step.
We explore the real barriers to sales, how to structure advisory conversations, and how social proof and testimonials accelerate trust.

9. Retrospective & Hootenany
You are through - consolidate the learnings, get clear on how you will move forward and celebrate!
